2023: FFK attacks Pastor Tunde Bakare over Tinubu

Advertisements

Fani-Kayode said it was Tinubu who forced Buhari on the nation and the people of the Southwest in 2015, saying he should share in the blame of the downturn of the Buhari administration.

Controversial Critic Femi Fani-Kayode has attacked Pastor Tunde Bakare over his romance with the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He said Bakare has desecrated the pulpit by praising Tinubu to the highest heaven, saying “shame on him.”

Bakare had attacked rancorous Yoruba elders who are bent on destroying Tinubu ahead of the 2023 presidency, saying they were envious of his achievement.

The fiery preacher said “I have a word for those Yoruba rancorous elements, noisemakers who have not achieved as much as Asiwaju Tinubu has achieved, but are always querying and worrying themselves about his ancestry.

“Those who are envious of Mr. Tinubu and those who desire to take his power slot should stop their useless talk about him, and busy themselves with what can add value to society”.

Reacting, Fani-Kayode wondered how Bakare who once said Tinubu would give account for all his deeds, would suddenly turn around to praise the same man he once denigrated.

According to him, “I listened to Bakare’s words, spoken from the sanctity of his pulpit, three times and I was astounded. I asked myself what could have possibly made him flip in such an unceremonious, undignified and inglorious manner?

“I regarded his new-found and newly-cultivated grovelling and sycophantic assertions about Tinubu as being not only self-serving, arrogant, pitiful and condescending but also a desecration of the pulpit”.

“I asked myself over and over again whether this was the same man saying one thing at the end of 2019 and saying the opposite at the end of 2020?”

He said for Bakare to support Tinubu, it meant a lot and warned him not to drag the Yoruba people into his new found love.

“However on this Tinubu matter he has not done justice to himself and he has indulged in an inexcusable faux pas!

I am constrained to ask, why this sudden u-turn on Jagaban? Is there something he knows today that he did not know one year ago? If so can he possibly share it with us so that we can possibly consider doing a volte face too? Or is that they have something on him?” He asked.

“The ‘sakabular’ pastor is encouraging the young ones to loot, steal, engage in fraudulent acts, sell drugs, do passport racketeering in their youth as these will not count against them in the future. Rubbish from the pulpit. Shame on him,” he added.

Breaking: I’m ready for 2023 – Tunde Bakare

Bad advisers have prevented President Buhari from seeing and acting on the realities in Nigerian streets – Tunde Bakare

Running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2011 election and founder of Citadel Global Church, Tunde Bakare, yesterday, declared his readiness to run for the Presidency in 2023.

This is as he urged President Buhari to work hard to leave behind legacies that would outlive him.

To him, President Buhari still had enough time to rewrite his name on the sands of time, if God delivered him from ‘bad counsels’ and ‘bad counsellors’ that have prevented him from seeing and acting on realities in Nigeria other than the lies that he’s being fed by bad counsellors around him.

Bakare, who stated these while featuring as guest on Arise Television morning show, said, as a Nigerian citizen, he had the right to run for any elective office if he chooses to do so and 2023 will not be an exception.

“Every Nigerian citizen who has the aspiration to add value to this country is at liberty so to do. It is my fundamental right to run if I chose to. I mean every word I spoke. I cannot fold my hand or say well, let me continue to watch. No.

“My support for former president Goodluck Jonathan then was more or less based on what the late Obafemi Awolowo said that days would come when someone from a minority will rule this country which happened in the time of Jonathan.

“I am a citizen of this country, born and bred here by the grace of God and I intend to contribute my quota. It is like a matter of life and death. If we have the right people, I will support them. And if I offer myself and people support me, so be it. I am not taking those words back. I have something to offer my country.

“But it is all left for my country to say we want you because I cannot impose myself on them. I challenge right-thinking patriots to rise and let us join hands to fix our country. If God designs it that I will be the 16th president in 2023, I’m ready. I’m prepared. I have no word to impress anybody. All I have is quality service and God who took David from the sheepfold to shepherd the nation of Israel has trained me for over 30 years to be able to add my value to this country,” he said.

He alleged that bad advisers have prevented President Buhari from seeing and acting on the realities in Nigerian streets.

“One of the things I pray for President Buhari is that God should deliver him from wicked counsels and counsellors who tell him life is sweet and that everything is going fine, but without giving him the reports from the streets,” he said.

“In 2015, it seemed as if we had a long time. But, four years has gone and we are into the second year of the second term which is going to end soon. Time is going and anyone who is thinking of legacy, it is the best time to go into action – maybe two, or three things which people may see and say in the days of President Buhari, Nigeria took a giant trip in these three areas.

“Without that, it will just be like he came twice – first as military head of state and second as democratically elected president – without much being ascribed to him as achievements of his administration.

“President Buhari still has enough time to leave behind an enduring legacy. He can still do a lot between 2021 and 2022 because 2020 is already running out,” he said.

The outspoken cleric made the statement at the second edition of the virtual 3Gz — Guys, Girls and God — session of the CGCC Legacy Youth Fellowship.

Recalling how Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu predicted that August will be the month they will likely record lots of Coronavirus cases in Lagos and Nigeria in a virtual meeting he had with him, the Pastor stated that he is not in a rush to reopen a building when services can be done virtually and more people can be reached with the “word of truth”.

COVID-19: Pastor Tunde Bakare Send Message to Pastors over Churches lockdown. [Nigeria]

The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, formerly known as Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has called on church leaders to donate buildings to be used as isolation centres, instead of continually criticizing the government.

In a broadcast shared by the church on Sunday, Bakare revealed he has donated facilities in Lagos and Ogun, to be used.

“Those churches with multiple facilities, rather than their leaders criticizing the government, should collaborate with them.

“They must be prepared to offer some of their halls to governmental authorities as isolation centres in support of the efforts of the government,” Bakare said.

Bakare’s position is in contrast with the opinion held by the presiding bishop of Living Faith Worldwide, David Oyedepo.

Oyedepo has questioned the ban on religious gatherings amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

He claimed that the “voice of darkness” influenced the ban on gatherings in churches.

Pastor tunde bakare visits also Villa, meet with Buhari.

...saying he’d be Nigeria’s next President

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with the Pastor of Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare.

The Lagos pastor, who met with Buhari for over 30 minutes, declined to speak on the outcome of his meeting when approached by State House Correspondents.

Bakare pleaded that he had a flight to catch and promised to be back in January.

The fiery cleric had in September declared that he would be Nigeria’s next President come 2023.

According to him, it was only a matter of time before he succeeded Buhari as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He had suggested that he would be crowned Nigeria’s next President, saying: “to this end I was born.”

The vocal pastor made the proclamation during a sermon as seen in a video that went viral.

“Take it to the mountain top if you have never heard it before. I am saying it to you this morning, in the scheme of things, as far as politics of Nigeria is concerned, President Buhari is number 15 and yours sincerely is number 16. I never said that to you before; I want to let you know it this morning; nothing can change it, in the name of Jesus. He (Buhari) is number 15; I am number 16,” Bakare had said while placing his right hand on his chest.

Pastor Tunde Bakare

“To this end was I born and for this purpose came I into the world. I have prepared for this for 30 years. When he (Buhari) chose to run in 2019, he is still number 15, when he steps out, I step in.

“His assignment is that of Moses, to take Nigeria to River Jordan, but he can’t cross it. It will take a Joshua to go to the other side and begin to distribute the resources to the people of this nation,” Bakare said to his congregation.

Why I have not stepped in any bank since 1985 – Pastor Tunde

The Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Ministry, Tunde Bakare has revealed that the last time he stepped into a bank for any transaction was in 1985.

The Pastor who spoke on the topic ‘A Healthy, Robust Heavenly Bank Account’, also disclosed that other times he stepped into a banking hall would be to sanctify a new branch.

Recalling how his mother was once told she will have bank accounts abroad, Vanguard reported that the Lagos-based Preacher said banks always come to his home for transactions.

Pastor Tunde Bakare said;

“I am not showing off as you will call it, I am only provoking you to charge up yourself.

“My mother was not a rich woman, but someone once told her that she would have bank accounts abroad and she laughed, but right now, she has a son that has bank accounts abroad.

“These things don’t really have anything to do with education…If I can run bank accounts without visiting the banks, you too can. I don’t have two heads, neither does Dangote. Paying your tithe and offering doesn’t mean you have a heavenly bank account.

Senior Pastor of Latter Rain Ministry, Tunde Bakare

“If you think I am going to rush this sermon, you missed. I am going to go slow, after all, our president is ‘Baba Go Slow’ and I am his very good friend.

“To store up a treasure in heaven requires a different approach. Holding loosely and sharing freely and giving away heartily treasure for God’s kingdom purpose.”
