They get naked against a blurred red background when Doja Cats’ song, Streets which was released in 2019 comes on.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG), has warned strongly against online nudity.

Adeboye’s warning comes as #SilhouetteChallenge continues to trend online.

The challenge sees ladies strip down while dancing to ‘Put Your Head On My Shoulder’ released in 1987 by Paul Anka.

However, Adeboye has tweeted, “What are the things that the flesh usually tells you to do? They are listed in Galatians 5:19-21 as you must have earlier read in today’s Bible text. You think that you can view a few pictures or videos on social media where someone is almost nude and it is okay.

“You are quenching the Spirit. That little window you give to indulge the flesh will strengthen it such that you would find yourself going back to those pictures/videos after that time. The Bible is very clear – don’t ever do anything that will quench the Spirit. Never!”

NoRM reports that COVID-19 guidelines were strictly observed as security operatives disallowed people without facemasks.

Those without personal hand sanitisers were given, as sellers of facemasks made a brisk business of selling.

The church’s security details maintained that they had direct instructions to ensure that COVID-19 protocols were strictly followed.

Adeboye, ministering on the sermon titled, ‘The voice of hope’, to mark this year’s “Let’s go a-fishing” programme, said that God had sent him to tell someone at that moment that “it shall be well with him”.

According to him, a court messenger can only wish an accused well, but it is only the judge that can free him.

“If you have a case in court and you go to court and a messenger working in the place says today victory is yours, he is only wishing you well.

Pst Adeboye reveals reason for his decision to retire as RCCG G.O

Advertisements

The Open Heavens was written in a special way that every day had a specific message and a blessing attached to it, twenty years later, the daily journal has become one of Nigeria’s best selling books.

With over 5 million members worldwide, The Redeemed Christian Church of God is no doubt one of the biggest churches in Africa and the world at large.

Founded in the early days of 1952 on 1-5 Redemption Way, Ebute-Metta, Lagos with numbers rallying in tens and hundreds.

68 years later the church average attendance now stands at 100,000. Founder Josiah Akindayomi passed the baton to Enoch Adejare Adeboye in 1981 and under his leadership, the church have grown on to become a well respected figure in Nigeria.

Advertisements

Pastor EA Adeboye who was 39 at the time he took the mantle was backed with the grace of the Lord and blessed with the guidance of the holy spirit, through his leadership many souls were converted to heavens. He still felt like more could be done to impact the daily lives of Christians worldwide and in 2000 after 19 years in charge, he launched the Open Heavens daily manual.

Of recent, Pastor Adeboye have been sharing rather personal stories to inspire the masses. On sunday, he shared a personal story of how he had just been appointed the General Overseer of the church, he went to meet a friend who he believed was a close friend and after sharing the news and hoping a for a little advice, the friend drove him out.

The friend clearly told him that he never liked him from the onset and that he should never visit him again, the name of that day’s lesson was Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing.

Advertisements

Today again, he shared another personal story of the time he got depressed. According to him, it was time after he had already been appointed General Overseer, the church was growing and people were coming in. However, he felt like the people he was pastoring and teaching were not showing any appreciation. He felt like his fasting and prayers were in vain as the people he was doing it for didn’t show any care and that he made a decision to resign from being the general overseer of the church.

After a short nap, he woke up to see a little girl that presented him with a cake saying she appreciated all he had done for everyone and that moment changed everything. He realized that even though people were not showing it, they cared and most especially God cared about him.

The title of the today’s message was Freedom From Depression II and it encouraged people suffering from depression to embrace the Lord. He also advised them to talk to someone and that food, alcohol and sleeping was not the answer. May we all be blessed

Pastor Adeboye issue great warning to Nigerian gov’t.

During the programme themed, ‘Wonderful’, Adeboye, who preached on the topic, ‘Seven Wonderful Things About God’, said God is not a Father Christmas and as such, He can be “wonderfully angry.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has advised the Federal Government to give Nigeria a lasting solution to secession agitations and its economic challenges by restructuring the country, Noble Reporters Media reports.

Advertisements

According to Adeboye, the restructuring of the country must be done “as soon as possible” to forestall a breakup of the various socio-ethnic components that make up Nigeria.

The 78-year-old cleric stated this on Saturday at a 60th Independence Day Celebration Symposium co-organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the Nehemiah Leadership Institute.

At the symposium with the theme, ‘Where will Nigeria be in 2060?’ monitored by TopNaija, Adeboye proposed the adoption of a merger of the British style of government and the American system of government to pave the way for Nigeria’s future.

The former lecturer at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Lagos said, “Why can’t we have a system of government that is 100 per cent Nigerian, unique to us? For example, we started on with the British system of government, somewhere along the line, we moved over to the American system of government.

Advertisements

“Can’t we have a combination of both and see whether it could help us solve our problems because in Mathematics if you want to solve a problem, you try what we call Real Analysis, then if it doesn’t work, then you move on to Complex Analysis and see whether that will help you. If that fails, you move on to Vector Analysis and so on.

“I believe that we might want to look at the problems of Nigeria in a slightly different manner. Some people feel that all our problems will be over if Nigeria should break up. I think that is trying to solve the problems of Nigeria as if it is a Simple Equation. The problems of Nigeria will require quite a bit of Simultaneous Equation and some of them are not going to be Linear either – forgive me I am talking as a Mathematician.

“Why can’t we have a system of government that will create what I will call the United States of Nigeria? Let me explain. We all know that we must restructure. It is either we restructure or we break, you don’t have to be a prophet to know that one. That is certain – restructure or we break up.

“Now, we don’t want to break up, God forbid. In restructuring, why don’t we have a Nigerian kind of democracy? At the federal level, why don’t we have a President and a Prime Minister?

Advertisements

“If we have a President and a Prime Minister and we share responsibilities between these two so that one is not an appendage to the other. For examples, if the President controls the Army and the Prime Minister controls the Police. If the President controls resources likes oil and mining and the Prime Minister controls finance and inland revenue, taxes, customs etc. You just divide responsibilities between the two.

“At the state level, you have the governor and the premier, and the same way, you distribute responsibilities between these people in such a manner that one cannot really go without the other. Maybe we might begin to tackle the problems.”

Adeboye noted that the place of traditional rulers must be recognised and restored in governance.

He added, “If we are going to adopt the model, then we need to urgently restore the House of Chiefs. I have a feeling that one of our major problems is that we have pushed the traditional rulers to the background and I believe that is a great error particularly for a great country like Nigeria.

Advertisements

“I find it very ridiculous that one will ask a traditional ruler to inform the chairman of his local government before he travels.

“Go to any town in Nigeria, everybody in the town knows the paramount ruler in the town and they respect him (but) many of them don’t even know the name of the chairman of their local government.

“The traditional rulers are the actual landlords, they control the respect of their people. Their people will listen to them much more, I am sorry to say, than they will listen to some politicians.”

“Without any doubt, we must restructure and do it as soon as possible. A United States of Nigeria is likely to survive than our present structure,” he concluded.

RCCG Pastor, Adeboye celebrate wife @ 72 with deep kiss

Advertisements

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has celebrated his wife, Folu Adeboye’s 72nd birthday with a deep kiss.

78 year old Pastor E.A Adeboye flooded Instagram moments ago with blocks coming together to make an iconic picture of himself and Folu kissing.

Pastor Adeboye further shared a video on Instagram showing his wife, who is called Mummy G.O, on her kneels as he prays for her.

“I pray that your joy will last forever, this new year you will hear and see God more, you will serve God better and all your heart desires, God will grant unto you in Jesus name,” Adeboye captioned the video.

Gushing about her, Pastor Adeboye says ” my wife is my number one fan. She wrote in the book Mathematics of marriage – which we coauthored, that as my help meet she knows she cannot help me without my instructions, so when they come, her response is “Yes sir”. Busy as she is, she still cooks my meals and serve me herself. Many young ladies these days leave everything to the house help. My wife still trims my nails for me. There was a time when I was a teacher and was staying far from town. She had to cut my hair during that period. She is the only partner of the Adeboye Corporation; she doesn’t delegate her primary duties to anyone else. Just like the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31. I safely rest on my wife. Anything I uphold, she upholds it too. Can your husband rely on you?”

The pair got married in 1967 shortly after Adeboye completed his first degree at the University of Lagos graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

Their union has produced four children — three boys and a girl.

Storyline: Adeboye pledge to report rapists to God.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has vowed that he and his prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of rape are accorded stiffer penalty.

He declared during a live programme on DOVE TV, monitored in Ibadan on Sunday, that the issue of rape had become rampant in the society.

Adeboye described rape as bad and unbiblical that it could leave a permanent scar on the victim for the rest of her life.

According to him, no pain can be compared to the pain of the parents whose daughter had been raped.

“Myself and prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of this evil are brought to justice, not only in Nigeria but all over the world.

Advertisements

“Everyone who has ever committed rape, particularly in Nigeria and the world, the all-knowing God will fish them.

“As much as I hate death sentence, I think every form of punishment that will be given to a rapist cannot be considered too severe.

Advertisements

“Anyone, whoever thinks of raping someone again, the almighty God will stop them even before they do so and if they insist God will take them away.

“I am calling on every Christian all over the world to please join me in this prayer,” he said.

Adeboye also urged the faithful never to embrace the spirit of ‘good enough’ because it could be an enemy of greatness.

He, therefore, urged those who had not surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ to do so.

RCCG: We will comply with FG orders on reopening worship centres.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has said that it will comply with the guidelines from the government in regards to the reopening of worship centers.

Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, the RCCG Head of Media and Public Relations, made this known in a statement seen below.

“From the outset of this pandemic and the attendant lockdown, our general overseer has continued to emphasise that all our churches must abide by whatever rules and regulations the government brings. We are sufficiently ready to comply with the rules.

“When we look at the issue of spacing, for instance, churches are in different categories. We are a church planting mission. We have some of our churches that are in the lower cadre in terms of the population of the congregation. Some are under 50, while some are under 100.

Advertisements

“So, when the rules are ready, we will adjust. Some of our megachurches, space should not be a problem; it is a matter of reducing the number of people worshipping at a time.

“In all the sermons that our general overseer has been preaching on Sundays, he has been emphasising the issue of social distancing. Once we know the details of what the government wants, we will work towards achieving it”, it read.
