Man u to go for Coman as alternative for Sancho

Manchester United could sign Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman on loan, should the club fail in their attempts to prise Jadon Sancho away from Borussia Dortmund.

It has been reported by The Athletic that United are interested in signing the France international and have held talks with him over a move to Old Trafford.

Sky Sports News has confirmed he is on a shortlist of players that United are targeting this summer and the club could look at a potential loan instead of a permanent deal for a new winger.

Coman is seen as an alternative for United in their search for a new wideman, if they fail to secure the services of Dortmund’s Sancho.

Sancho has two years remaining on his contract at Dortmund but is keen on a return to the Premier League.

Dortmund are demanding in excess of £100m for the England international, who arrived at Signal Iduna Park in an £8m deal from United’s rivals Manchester City in August 2017.

Bundesliga champions Bayern made the £54.8m acquisition of Leroy Sane from Manchester City on a five-year deal earlier in July.

But despite his arrival, Sky Germany have reported that Bayern are not prepared to let go of Coman, who scored four goals and made four assists in 24 Bundesliga games during the 2019/20 season.

The 24-year-old joined the club in 2017 and has another three years remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile, the future of left-back David Alaba at Bayern is uncertain, chairman Karl-Heinz Rumminegge has said that the club are in talks with the Austrian over a contract extension.

But Rummenigge has admitted that the 28-year-old, who has another year left on his current deal, could leave Bavaria this summer if the club receives a sufficient offer.

The summer transfer window will run for 10 weeks from July 27 and close at 11pm on October 5. A domestic-only window for trades between the Premier League and EFL then runs from.

Paul Pogba: My mother always told me I’d return to Manchester United

Paul Pogba says his mother told him that he would return to Manchester United after he left the club in 2012.

The France international joined Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2012 after becoming frustrated due to his lack of first-team opportunities at Old Trafford.

But despite swapping Manchester for Turin, Pogba says his mother always believed that he would one day make a return to the club.

Pogba told The Official Manchester United Podcast: “My mother always told me: ‘You will go somewhere but come back.’ She always said this.

“You know mothers – the things she said: ‘You will come back here, don’t worry’ and that was just after [Pogba had left United]. She said you will come back to Manchester, don’t worry, and I did.”

Pogba returned to United in 2016 for a then world-record fee and he says he came back to finish what he had started at the club which he developed through the youth system.

He said: “When I came back, I was really happy to come back. I left it and didn’t finish. I started something but I didn’t finish. I just went somewhere else – to finish it.

“Obviously, coming back where I started was for me, why I was really happy. Now I’m ready to come as a confirmed player not a youth player.”

Pogba has missed the majority of the season so far due to injury but insists that his fitness setbacks have made him “more hungry to come back and do well.”

He suffered a further setback following foot surgery earlier in the season and has not played since Boxing Day, but he is stepping up his recovery and will resume training when permitted to do so following the coronavirus pandemic.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino remains hopeful of becoming Manchester United boss in the near future.

ATL Madrid And Roma Eyes Jesse Lingard

Man Utd’s Jesse Lingard Approached by Atletico Madrid & Roma…

Atletico Madrid and Roma have both made contact with representatives of Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard over a transfer, with the academy graduate open to leaving in the summer.

The England international has faced criticism for his performances over the last 18 months, having previously been a rising star for United and the Three Lions.

Now 27 and without a Premier League goal or assist since 2018, Lingard’s stock has fallen dramatically and he has often been a lightning rod for blame during United’s dismal spells.

Jesse Lingard
According to ESPN, online abuse, combined with the club’s attempts to sell him in January, has led Lingard to consider moving on from Old Trafford.

Last month, the Red Devils reportedly offered £45m plus the 27-year-old in an effort to sign Leicester City playmaker James Maddison. That has likewise disturbed Lingard, who has been struggling for regular game-time in 2019/20.

ESPN’s report says Lingard has reacted by contemplating a fresh start elsewhere, with Atletico and Roma competing for the midfielder – who is now in the final 18 months of his contract, with an option to extend by a further year.

Though Lingard has started only six Premier League matches this term, ESPN claim that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still eager to retain his services.

Solskjaer is keeping faith because he apparently believes the youth product’s recent decline has come as the result of off-field family issues and online criticism.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Atleti and Roma, however, have already both taken the first step towards signing Lingard, the pair holdings talks with his new representative, the infamous ‘super-agent’ Mina Raiola.

The playmaker, who hasn’t scored in the top flight in over a year, has also lost his place in Gareth Southgate’s recent England squads and faces an uphill battle to be included for the European Championships in the summer.

Manchester United Confirms Ighalo On Loan

Manchester United have completed a loan move for Chinese Super League striker Odion Ighalo – with the player joining until the end of the current season.

The Nigeria international left Watford in 2017 for Changchun Yatai in 2017 before joining Shanghai Shenhua, with whom he won the Chinese FA Cup this year.

United have been on the hunt for a striker to help deal with their current injury crisis, with Marcus Rashford ruled out for the foreseeable future with a back problem, and the club confirmed the deal at one minute past midnight – 61 minutes past the deadline.

Though people are talking about this
Names like Islam Slimani, Josh King, Salomon Rondon and Edinson Cavani were all banded around as potential targets, before it was reported on Friday evening that personal terms and a salary had been agreed.

United will not have an automatic option to buy Ighalo at the end of his loan spell, should the 30-year-old impress at Old Trafford.

The former Udinese forward impressed at Vicarage Road during the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, scoring 35 league goals across the two campaigns.

He would struggle in 2016/17, however, eventually sealing a move to Changchun Yatai, scoring a hatful before switching the Jilin Province for Shanghai.

He will provide added striking options for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has utilised Anthony Martial up front for the most of the season with Rashford covering when the Frenchman was struck down with injury.

Matic proclaims exit Manchester United in january.

Nemanja Matic Admits He Could Leave Manchester United in January

Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matić claims that he will weigh up his future at Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

The Serbia international only has six month left on his contract in the north-west and has already been linked with a move to join Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid.

Manchester United still have an option to extend Matić’s contract for another season, but the 31-year-old admits he’ll only stay at Old Trafford if he is still part of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team plans.

Nemanja Matic
“I don’t know what to say. I have a contract for another six months, we’ll see in January what’s going to happen,” Matić told Telegraf. “Will I extend the contract or try to find something else?

“United have some option to extend my contract, but we will see if the plans of the club match my plans. I couldn’t say anything more because I don’t really know either.”

Matić has spent the last two and a half years with Manchester United following a £40m move from Chelsea in 2017, where he’s gone on to make 95 appearance for the club across all competitions.

Joining after José Mourinho’s won three trophies in a single season at Manchester United, Matić is currently on his longest spell without any silverware in the last decade.

While the towering midfielder doesn’t appear to be wanted or needed at Manchester United, Atlético Madrid are apparently eager to sign him on a cut-price deal once the transfer window reopens.

Mino Raiola Insists Paul Pogba Will Not Leave Manchester United During January Transfer Window
Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has stated that the midfielder won’t be leaving the club in January, saying he is happy to go along with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s…

Manager Simeone wants to add some more experience to his side as Atléti look to cement their place inside the top four in La Liga.

Los Colchoneros are sitting behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla heading into the new year, while they’re only one point ahead of Imanol Alguacil’s impressive Real Sociedad side.

Marcos Rojo ‘on Standby’ in Argentina to Prepare for January Exit From Manchester United

Manchester United have allowed Marcos Rojo to return to Argentina to prepare himself for a January exit from Old Trafford.

The defender has started just one Premier League game this season and has not even been part of the matchday squad for United’s last eight matches in the competition, suggesting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not have a place for him in the team.

Partizan Belgrade v Manchester United: Group L – UEFA Europa League

He has now fully recovered from the muscle injury which initially sidelined him, but still has not been able to force his way back into Solskjaer’s plans, and now the Manchester Evening News report that he is nearing the exit door.

Rojo will be allowed to leave if the

club receive a satisfactory offer, and United are so confident of that happening that they have given him some time off to prepare himself for an imminent switch.

However, the only potential problem is Rojo’s salary. The Argentine earns close to £160,000 a week at Old Trafford, and that figure was behind the collapse of his proposed loan move to Everton during the summer

United were adamant that Rojo would only be allowed to leave on a permanent basis during the summer, but whether they would be prepared to accept a loan deal just to temporarily get him off their books remains to be seen.

With Eric Bailly nearing a long-awaited return from a knee injury, Solskjaer is set to have even more centre-back options in his squad. Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and 19-year-old Di’Shon Bernard have operated as backups to Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelöf, so there is simply no need for Rojo.

Eric Bailly

The club also plan to activate Bailly’s two-year extension in his current contract to prevent him from walking away when his deal expires in the summer, meaning Rojo is not likely to earn a place in the team any time soon.

In terms of potential landing sports, Argentinian side Estudiantes have previously been linked with Rojo, while Fenerbahçe have also monitored the defender, but it is unclear whether either side are still keen on him

Pep Guardiola breaks José Mourinho’s record.

Pep GuardiolaBy their own meteoric standards, Manchester City have hit a rough patch this season, but let’s be honest – all this nonsense about Pep Guardiola being a ‘fraud’ is a bit over the top, isn’t it?

Yes, he may have had the crutch of substantial transfer funds wherever he has gone as a coach, but so too have many big names in management and very few have ever enjoyed a level of success comparable to the Spaniard.

The man with eight domestic league titles and two Champions Leagues to his name in 11 years in management might have overseen a start to the season in which City have managed just the 13 wins in 20 games, the worst in his career so far by a distance. He’s anything but a failure, however, and the stats continue to prove it.

The 2-0 victory over Sheffield United was his 100th in the Premier League, a feat he has achieved in just 134 games. It makes him the quickest ever to reach the landmark in the division, ahead of José Mourinho, who took 142 games to get there.

In his three-and-a-half seasons at City, Guardiola has so far claimed as many as seven domestic honours in England, putting him one behind Mourinho on that front. Both the EFL Cup and the FA Cup are well within his reach even if the Premier League looks to have gone, however, and a win in one of those two competitions would put him level there, having spent around half the time in England that Mourinho has.

Jose Mourinho,Pep Guadiola
That’s provided Mourinho finishes the season trophy-less with Tottenham, of course. The Portuguese boss made his return to English football in December, and we have only a month to wait until the two great rivals go head to head once again on 2 February.
