Paulo Dybala could join Pochettino at new Club

The operation would cost around 60 million euros. This is not the only market target the coach has reportedly proposed.

Tuttosport says that one of Mauricio Pochettino’s requests in view of his imminent arrival at PSG is to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus.

PSG is about to begin a new phase with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm and ‘Tuttosport’ revealed one of their requests, probably the most demanding: Paulo Dybala.

His incorporation could be closed for about 60 million euros to tidy up the coach’s sports planning.

This situation is remarkable, as the Parisian team already has in its ranks one of the most promising young strikers on the planet, Kylian Mbappé.

Perhaps the arrival of the current Juventus striker will open the door for the Frenchman, who has no shortage of suitors.

In economic terms, the offer referred to by the source mentioned in the first paragraph is higher than the player’s current market value. As estimated by the parameters of ‘ProFootballDB’, it is 41 million euros. He is committed to Juve until 2022, so his club has the upper hand.

And are there any other requests from Pochettino to the board? Yes, it has already been leaked that Dele Alli and Eriksen may be some of the coach’s ideas to rekindle the flame of a project that has already agreed to the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel. The new PSG could have an Argentinean accent.

COVID-19: Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo test positive.

Ronaldo’s positive test also means he won’t be available for Juventus’ trip to Crotone at the weekend and could even be a doubt for the Champions league group-stage clash with Barcelona on 28 October.

Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for Covid-19 while away on international duty with Portugal.

The 35-year-old started both of Portugal’s games over the past week and will now miss their second Nations League group game of the month against Sweden on Wednesday night.

The rest of the Portugal squad, meanwhile, returned negative results and all should be available for the upcoming clash.

Ronaldo’s positive result was revealed in a statement from the Portuguese FA on their official website which read: “Cristiano Ronaldo was released from training with the national team after a positive test for Covid-19, so he will not face Sweden.

“The Portugal international is doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation.

“Following the positive test, the remaining players underwent new tests on Tuesday morning, and all produced a negative result and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon.”

“The game, counting for the qualification phase of the League of Nations, is scheduled for Wednesday, at 19:45, in Alvalade.”

Tuesday’s revelation comes after Ronaldo played 90 minutes in Portugal’s Nations League stalemate with France on Sunday night.

In the wake of the contest, several French stars posted action photos alongside the modern-day icon on their respective Instagrams. 17-year-old Eduardo Camavinga even got ahold of his match-worn shirt.

France travel to Croatia on Wednesday night, with Didier Deschamps hopeful that he’ll have a full squad of players to select from.

The 35-year-old had started the 2020/21 campaign off in prolific form, netting the third in a 3-0 victory over Sampdoria on Andrea Pirlo’s coaching debut against Sampdoria before bagging a brace to rescue a point for the Biaconeri at Roma.

Ronaldo has become the 30th player in Serie A currently infected with the virus. The likes of Roberto Gagliardini, Radja Nainggolan, Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni have also tested positive.

Juventus pessimistic over Barcelona Striker Luis Suarez

Juventus are ‘growing pessimistic over completing a deal for Luis Suarez’ due to issues with the Uruguayan securing Italian citizenship.

The Turin club are at their maximum allotment of foreign players in the squad, which means Suarez has to obtain an Italian passport.

The process is a slow one and Juventus are increasingly concerned that the red tape will take up too much time.

According to Goal, they are pessimistic about the deal being concluded, despite the fact that personal terms on a £9million-a-year deal have been concluded.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has no place for Suarez in his side but a fee has not yet been agreed between both clubs.

Juventus begin the defence of their crown on Sunday against Sampdoria and Pirlo is understood to be considering alternatives to Suarez.

Gonzalo Higuain’s contract was terminated so the club are eager to arrange their striking options as quickly as possible.

The situation with Suarez’s passport application is a hindrance in this regard and Edin Dzeko might well join in the coming days.

His move from Roma is dependent on the capital club signing Napoli frontman Arkadiusz Milik.

Pirlo reiterated the urgency of signing a new forward over the weekend, saying: ‘I need a striker as soon as possible. But the market is long. There will be time to be able to work until October 4.’

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has also been linked but dismissed that speculation last week.

Suarez remains of huge interest to Juventus but it seems bureaucracy may yet scupper his favoured move and prevent him teaming up with Cristiano Ronaldo in an all-star attack next season.

Suarez rules out Juve move

Luis Suarez has reportedly ruled out signing for Juventus in the current transfer window, despite having previously reached an agreement with the Old Lady.

The main reason is the bureaucratic delay in obtaining Italian citizenship, a process that was set to start on Thursday with an exam.

According to RAC1, the deadlines to get an Italian passport in order to avoiding occupying a non-EU spot could go on further than October 6.

Thus, Suarez would not be able to play in the Champions League group stage as the team’s list of registered players should be presented that day.

His intention has been to leave the Blaugrana ever since Ronald Koeman informed him that he is not counting on the Uruguay international for next season.

Suarez has offers from other clubs, but there is a dispute between him and his current employers on the logistics of his departure as he wants to collect his wages and the club are hoping for a transfer fee – even if it is a small and symbolic one.

It remains to be seen whether Koeman will give him any playing time in the friendly against Girona on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s technical secretary Ramon Planes avoided making any significant comments on Suarez’s future during the official presentation of Miralem Pjanic.

“Suarez is, and has been in recent years, an important player,” the director noted.

“As I said in another appearance, we have to have a lot of respect for the players who have given so much to Barcelona.

“It is evident after what happened at the end of the season that we are in a process of changing, with a new coach and new ideas and we are working on that.

“We have to respect the players and their contracts.

“The market ends on October 5 and until then many things can happen.

“But with the utmost respect towards the players and the club.”

Breaking: Luis Suarez chooses Atletico over Juventus

According to Deported Cuatro Via NobleSports, Luis Suarez could be an option for Atletico Madrid. He had been linked with Juventus, but would prefer to play with Atleti.

Bye Juve: Pjanic arrives at Camp Nou

The Bosnian midfielder will have to pass LaLiga’s mandatory PCR test in order to start training at the club’s training complex.

As the protocol dictates, Pjanic will have to train alone until he passes the second PCR test.

Lionel Messi and Philippe Coutinho also had to do this before they could join up with their team-mates.

Unfortunately for Pjanic, though, having to adhere to the protocol means that it’s unlikely that he plays against Girona in Barcelona’s pre-season opener.

The Catalan club plan to present Pjanic at the start of next week.

Just In: Juventus bids shocking €50m for Alvaro Morata

Atletico Madrid have knocked back a 50 million euro bid from Juventus for Alvaro Morata.

Los Rojiblancos are understood to be holding out for the 27-year-old’s 150m euro release fee to be paid if they are to let him go, but that scenario looks impossible in a depressed market where finances are tight due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The bid for Morata has been made on the insistence of new Juve coach Andrea Pirlo, who wants to bring back the Spaniard to the club where he made such an impact between 2014 and 2016.

It would be quite an about-turn for Atleti to ship out their leading goalscorer from last season, especially when they just completed his permanent transfer from Chelsea for 55m euros.

As such, Morata seems set to stay at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano for 2020/21.

Shocking: Suarez denies Juventus move

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has dismissed ‘fake news’ about his future.

Suarez has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus after reportedly being informed by new Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman that he isn’t in his plans.

The 33-year-old posted a picture on his Instagram story accompanied by the message: ‘While fake news comes out… I’m good’.

In the image Suarez is seen smiling while in training with Barcelona.

There have been suggestions that the Uruguay international’s contract, which has less than a year to run, could be terminated by mutual consent to allow him to depart.

However, it appears that a move to see Suarez leave Barcelona isn’t as close as has been reported.

Reports indicated that Suarez has agreed terms on a £9million-a-year salary with Juventus.

Barcelona are in process of attempting to rebuild their squad, and have been boosted by the news that Lionel Messi will remain at the club this season.

Since joining Barcelona in 2014 he has scored 198 goals in 283 appearances.

Juventus Contact Cavani on potential move

Juventus have made contact with prolific free agent Edinson Cavani as their search for a new striker this summer takes another twist, according to reports.

The Turin giants also targeted Barcelona frontman Luis Suarez and Roma ace Edin Dzeko but have struggled to haul either deal over the line.

Sky Sports Italia claim that Juventus may now move for former Paris Saint-Germain star Cavani, who allowed his contract in the French capital to expire at the end of the campaign.

After the surprising arrival of Andrea Pirlo as Juventus’ new head coach, the club have tried desperately to strengthen their frontline before the new Serie A campaign begins.

A swoop for Cavani may prove a shrewd, but ultimately short-term, addition. He had been close to moving to Benfica, but the deal reportedly collapsed due to the experienced hitman’s wage demands.

It has been suggested that the Uruguay international wanted a three-year deal worth a hefty £8.8million per season.

But Juventus have not been deterred in their bid to add some more experience to their ranks. Cavani, just like Suarez, is also 33 years of age and boasted a formidable scoring record in Ligue 1.

The same report highlights that while Suarez would need to negotiate his exit from Barcelona and get an EU passport to not occupy a slot in Juventus’ squad, Cavani already holds an Italian passport.

Suarez is understood to have agreed to join Juventus and is gradually nearing the exit door. He must still finalise his payoff though, and will be able to move to Turin as either a free agent or for a small nominal transfer fee.

In the event that any move for Suarez falls through, then Cavani may become the back-up option. Juventus may yet be left frustrated again, however.

Reports in Brazil have touted Cavani to move to Gremio – meaning the Italian outfit may still be active in the market as it edges closer to the deadline.

It is also believed that Dzeko is not convinced by the prospect of leaving Roma over the coming weeks, with both Juventus and Inter Milan said to be interested.

Cavani may still reject Juventus’ advances due to his connection with league rivals Napoli.

He netted 104 goals in 138 matches during his spell in Naples between 2010 and 2013, and also helped the club lift the Coppa Italia during his first season.

This loyalty and affection for his former club may scupper any move to the Allianz Stadium.

Luis Suarez to join Juventus any moment

Suarez has agreed to join Juventus from Barcelona and is nearing the exit door if he can finalise his payoff.

The 33-year-old striker looks set to combine with Cristiano Ronaldo next season rather than Lionel Messi with his time at the Nou Camp coming to an end.

According to Guillem Balague, Suarez is happy to be paid one season’s wages by Barcelona to get him to move on and he has agreed to join the Italian side.

The Uruguayan does not have to leave Barcelona and has one more year on his existing deal.

If he played 60 per cent of the games next season he would trigger another year extension but it appears all parties are ready to move on.

He will join Andrea Pirlo’s side as either a free agent or for a small nominal transfer fee.

Balague reports that the departure will have no impact on the decision Lionel Messi makes about his future at Barcelona.

Suarez will be fondly remembered in Catalonia having delivered consistently for the team having joined from Liverpool for £74million six years ago.

He scored a whopping 198 goals in 283 appearances, combining with Messi and for a time Neymar with devastating effect.

Suarez was an integral part of the side that won the Champions League, LaLiga and Copa del Rey back in 2014-15.

Shocking: Juventus tables offer For Suarez

Juventus are set to land Luis Suarez in a deal worth just £4.4million as Barcelona continue their summer clear out under new boss Ronald Koeman.

At 33-years-old, Barca are keen to move on the striker in a bid to ease their wage bill and Juventus are hopeful a cut-price deal for the former Liverpool hitman can be done within the next three weeks in time for the start of the new Serie A campaign.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Juventus are hoping that with Suarez in their side they could field one of the best front three in Europe alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.

Juventus have excellent relations with Barcelona and are confident an agreement for Suarez’s move to the Allianz Stadium can be arranged swiftly.

Suarez has already agreed a three-year-deal with Juve worth around £9million-a-year with bonus clauses to be added.

However, the deal could be held up by Suarez’s financial demands from the Nou Camp outfit in relation to the move.

It is understood the Uruguay hitman is demanding £22m in severance pay and is not willing to negotiate lowering his request.

Barca are more hopeful that with Juventus being the striker’s choice of destination he will eventually lower his demands having been caught pleasantly surprised by the interest shown in him by the Italian champions.

Suarez’s contract at the Nou Camp expires next summer having joined them six years ago from Liverpool.

He has enjoyed a successful spell at Barcelona in that time, netting 198 goals in 283 games.

However despite scoring an impressive 21 goals in 36 games last season, he was sidelined by knee surgery in the first part of 2020.

Despite returning post lockdown he was unable to prevent Barca’s downturn in form which included losing the LaLiga title to rivals Real Madrid and suffering a humiliating 8-2 defeat by Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Luis Suarez agrees personal terms with Juventus

Luis Suarez has reportedly agreed personal terms with Juventus as the former Liverpool striker edges closer to a Barcelona exit.

The 33-year-old is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp with new boss Ronald Koeman set to overhaul the underachieving squad he has inherited.

Ajax and Paris-Saint Germain are also believed to be in the running to sign Suarez, who has entered the final year of his Barcelona contract.

But the Uruguayan striker has agreed a deal with Juventus that could see him form a devastating attacking partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport cited by Marca.

According to the report, a second meeting between the Serie A giants and Suarez’s representatives saw personal terms agreed worth around £9m per year – a similar figure to his Barcelona deal.

It is claimed that Juve vice president Pavel Nedved contacted Suarez personally ahead of the second meeting.

Juventus are looking to replace Gonzalo Higuain, who has been linked with a move to Inter Miami, and are also believed to be interested in Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

Meanwhile, Ajax are hoping to fund a move for Suarez using the £40m the Dutch club are set to receive from the impending sale of Donny van de Beek to Manchester United.

Spanish publication Sport claims Ajax director of football Marc Overmars is hopeful of persuading Suarez back the club where he starred before signing for Liverpool for £24m in 2011.

Suarez scored 69 goals in 110 Premier League for the Reds before leaving in 2014 in a £74m switch to Barcelona, for whom he has smashed 147 goals in 191 La Liga matches.

Overmars has been up front to the Uruguayan about the financial situation at Ajax, and has vowed to present an economic proposal in the coming days.

Van de Beek is expected to sign for United in the coming days on a five-year deal with the option of an extra year.

Just in: Luis Suarez to Juventus almost deal done

With Gonzalo Higuain on the move, Juventus are in the market for a striker and are thought to be closing in on Luis Suarez.

The Uruguayan has been deemed surplus to requirements by new coach Ronald Koeman and is now looking for a new club.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, personal terms have been agreed between Suarez and Juventus in a second meeting between the club and the player’s representatives.

The striker, who has spent six years at Barcelona, had already been contacted by vice president, Pavel Nedved prior to the second meeting.

The player’s contract is thought to be in the region of ten million euros per year after tax which is the same wage Suarez is currently earning at Barcelona.

Juventus would have to pay a further five million euros to secure the Uruguayan, due to Italian taxation.

Another player that Juventus are thought to be interested in is Eden Dzeko from Roma.

However, Juventus would have to pay a transfer fee of around ten million for the Bosnian on top of his wages, something they wouldn’t have to do for Suarez, who would be leaving Barcelona on a free transfer.

Suarez turns his attention to Juventus

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has reportedly got in touch with Juventus chief Pavel Nedved over a potential transfer that would see him link up with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Liverpool front man is set to leave the Nou Camp this summer, after being told by new manager Ronald Koeman that he is not in his plans moving forward.

With Gonzalo Higuain leaving the Old Lady, the club are in the market for a striker and Suarez could fit the bill.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Suarez and Nedved have began talks over a potential switch that would see him join the Serie A champions.

The early signs appear to be positive and it is very possible that Ronaldo will have a new strike partner in Luis Suarez.

Both stars have spent most of the last decade in Spain, where they featured on opposing ends of a fierce rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona.

In their prime, Suarez had a partnership with Lionel Messi and Neymar for the Catalan club whilst Ronaldo led the line alongside Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale at Madrid.

The Uruguayan is happy to take his time over a deal and is waiting to see all his options, whilst the Italian side are more eager to get a transfer over the line with the new season fast approaching.

Juventus have also been eyeing up Roma striker Edin Dzeko, but they will not let him leave unless they have a replacement lined up.

Suarez did turn up to Barcelona headquarters for covid-19 testing ahead of the new campaign, despite his exit talks with Koeman leaving him furious.

Lionel Messi did not turn up for testing, as his potential exit has shocked the footballing world following Koeman’s appointment and a poor season last time out.

Juventus Wants Messi and will start negotiations in no time

Juventus have sensationally entered the running to snap up irked Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi, according to reports. The Turin giants will attempt to piece together a super-team centred around Messi and his historic challenger in the race to be named as the best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo.L’Equipe claim that a ‘discreet approach’ was made to Messi’s father, Jorge, to sound out the possibility of luring the 33-year-old to Turin.Messi remains locked in an unsavoury stand-off with the club he has represented for the whole of his career. He has asked his representatives to broker a meeting with the Barcelona board in an attempt to ‘avoid a war’ breaking out over his uncertain future. That meeting would be the first time both parties had come together since Messi shocked the football world by informing Barcelona this week that he wants to leave on a free transfer. The club, however, have shown no signs of budging from their steadfast refusal to entertain the prospect of their superstar walking away.Sportsmail understands Messi is firmly focused on a new challenge and wants his representatives to pave the way for his departure. It is this uncertainty that has placed several of Europe’s top clubs firmly on red alert, with Juventus believed to now be among them. The club are said to be hopeful of cutting their hefty wage bill this summer, but the arrival of Messi would underline their intention of becoming the top dogs of the continent once again.Andrea Piro was recently unveiled as Maurizio Sarri’s shock successor and, according to the report from France, has instantly set himself lofty ambitions with Messi at the forefront. The prospect of partnering the Argentinian icon and Ronaldo, who boast 11 Ballon d’Or gongs between them, would certainly allow Juventus to push towards finally winning the Champions League.Manchester City are still understood to be in pole position to snap up Messi should he leave Barcelona, with Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain also proving attractive propositions. But the process which would allow Messi to move to another club for the first time in his professional career still appears set to be drawn out for a while longer yet.His club insist an exit clause in his contract does not make him a free agent because the deadline passed in June for him to inform them about any wish to leave. The days after Messi’s bombshell admission have been marred by supporters storming the Nou Camp and loudly calling for the under-fire board to resign.

Juventus tables offer for Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez ‘has been offered to Juventus’ as Andrea Pirlo considers a move for the Barcelona outcast.

Goal.com claim the Italian champions could move for the 33-year-old striker with Gonzalo Higuain set to leave the club.

Suarez has been linked with MLS side Inter Miami and former club Ajax since being told he does figure in the plans of new boss Ronald Koeman.

Koeman is looking to carry out a major summer overhaul following the humiliating Champions League exit to Bayern Munich earlier this month.

The Uruguay international could be joined out of the exit door at Barcelona by Lionel Messi, who is pushing for a move away on a free transfer.

The duo were spotted leaving a restaurant together on Wednesday night for the first time since the Argentine handed in a transfer request via fax to the Catalan giants.

Footage from El Chiringuito released on Thursday morning shows Messi leaving a restaurant in a black car while Suarez followed in a separate vehicle.

Suarez – who is Barcelona’s third highest goalscorer of all time – and Messi have been close friends since the striker moved from Liverpool in 2014.

Juventus bids farewell as Matuidi joins Inter Miami

Juventus have bid farewell to ‘much loved’ Blaise Matuidi with the midfielder close to joining David Beckham’s MLS side Inter Miami.

The Frenchman was contracted to the Serie A side until 2021 but reached an agreement to end his deal now, allowing him to leave for free with the America his next destination.

Matuidi has been an important player for Juve since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, making a total of 133 appearances.

The 33-year-old won five trophies in his three years with the Italian club and was also part of France’s World Cup winning squad in 2018.

A statement from Juventus paid tribute to the determination and commitment he showed during his time with the club.

‘It was, above all, his substance in the midfield that made the difference, and which made him a player much loved by the Juventus fans: for his determination, for his grit and for his ability to never give up.

‘And it is because of all these characteristics, and for the great commitment he has always put in place with us, that we thank him.

‘Blaise is someone who will always be in our hearts and we wish him all the very best for the future.’

All six of Miami’s games so far have ended in defeat by a single goal and the MLS side are hoping Matuidi can add some grit and experience to their midfield.

Three of those have come in the MLS is Back tournament which began in July.

Juventus makes Zidane first choice to replace Sarri

Juventus have made Zinedine Zidane their No 1 target following the sacking of manager Maurizio Sarri on Saturday afternoon.

The Italian champions dispensed with Sarri after just one season in the wake of their dismal Champions League exit to Lyon on Friday night.

And Juventus supremo Andrea Agnelli has already targeted former midfielder Zidane, the manager of Real Madrid, to succeed him.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is the Turin club’s second choice behind Zidane.

Talks with Real president Florentino Perez over Zidane are imminent as the Spanish champions also lick their wounds following a Champions League exit on Friday.

Agnelli will do anything to bring Zidane back to Juventus, the club he represented with distinction as a player for five years between 1996 and 2001.

And star player Cristiano Ronaldo would like to work under Zidane again following their success together at Real Madrid.

In the wake of Real’s last-16 exit to Manchester City on Friday, Zidane said: ‘We will see what happens next season. Now it’s time to rest, I’m here and I’m the Real Madrid manager until something happens.’

But their failure in the Champions League means Juventus may be able to prise Zidane away this summer. The Frenchman enjoys very good relations with Agnelli and they are frequently in contact by phone.

Zidane has always wanted to coach Juventus while Agnelli has promised the three-time Champions League winner the job sooner or later.

Zidane still spends time in Turin for family and business reasons and even uses the same taxi driver from his time there as a player.

He has also often praised Juventus. In 2016, when inaugurating the Z5 Sports Center, he said: ‘Juve made me grow as a football and as a man. It’s always an emotion to come back here as I played five years in Turin.

‘With Juventus there is something special: It was important for me. One day I could coach in Turin, you never know.’

The sports complex was opened by Zidane following others in Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Madrid and features a five-a-side football centre and restaurant.
