Reekado banks has pleaded with the federal government of Nigeria to reopen its border, as he is tired of Gabon.
In a bid to check increasing cases of coronavirus in Nigeria, the Federal Government had closed all land borders in the country.
The government said the border will be closed for four weeks, from the 23rd of March, 2020.
Taking to Instagram moments back, Reekado Banks revealed that he is stuck in Gabon due to the border closure, as he urged the FG to reopen the border, so he could return home
He wrote; “Smiling like everything is okay but deep down , Gabon ti su mi. E ba mi shi border ejo 🙏🏾😪.”
Latest update reaching our quarters says Gabon and Ghana have joined the long list of countries that have reported cases of Coronavirus as they both confirmed their first cases of the outbreak.
With the latest development, 10 countries have recorded positive cases in sub-Saharan Africa. Gabon being the ninth and Ghana, the tenth to record positive cases in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Togo, South Africa, Burkina Faso and the Democratic Republic of Congo have also recorded cases.
NobleReporters learnt that the government said its case was a 27-year-old Gabonese man who had returned from France on March 8.
Ghana’s health ministry said its two cases were people who had returned recently from Norway and Turkey. “These are imported cases of COVID-19.
Both patients are currently being kept in isolation and are stable,” the Ghana ministry said in a statement.
