Please send whatever you can to Ifey Onwuemene, Fidelity Bank 6010999993.
Thank you”

She begged the Lagos state Government and her colleagues to come to her aide.

Ahmad Lawan mourn Ben Murray-Bruce Wife’s death.

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has condoled with Senator Ben Murray-Bruce over the death of his wife, Evelyn Murray-Bruce.

Lawan commiserated with the entire family of the Senator who represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the Eighth Senate and the people of Bayelsa State over the tragic loss.

He said the late Mrs Murray- Bruce was a pillar of support for her husband and their entire family, saying her untimely passage has left a void that will be difficult to fill.

Lawan urged Senator Murray-Bruce to take solace from the enviable life that she lived and the fond memories she left with all those whose lives she touched.

The Senate President prayed that God will comfort the Senator, the children and other loved ones she left behind and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

Breaking: Ben Murray-Bruce’s wife dies from cancer.

Former Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Ben Murray-Bruce, has just lost his wife of 41 years to cancer.

NobleReporters gathered that he lost his wife whom he described as his best friend of 43-years-old to cancer.

Confirming this, Murray-Bruce took to his twitter page to announce the sad news.

He tweeted,

“I’m broken. Just lost my beautiful wife to cancer. She was my best friend for 43 years and my wife for 41 years. Cancer is real, but it shouldn’t be a death sentence – awareness, and early detection and treatment are key to survival. I miss her so so much. I’m broken.

“Our children are devastated, I am too. But I have to be strong for them. Please put our family in your prayers. Like the sun, my wife was a blessing and touched the lives of everyone she met.

“Though she’s gone, she’d remain alive in our hearts forever.”

Chrissy Teigen open up on breast cancer grieve – this isn’t how I want to die.

Chrissy Teigen, American TV personality, has opened up about having breast implants when she was 20 — the first time she’s admitted to the procedure.

In a recent interview, the 34-year-old model, who is married to John Legend, explained that despite wanting to remove the implants now, she fears there could be complications in doing so — as she doesn’t want to “die in a boob surgery.”

She said she had the surgery when she was still a swimsuit model but now feels different about her choice, having had children and experienced the rigours of motherhood.

“Yeah, I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old. It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky!” the mother of two said.

“But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed.

“I had a quarter ‘teardrop’ cup in the bottom and filled out the breast line. But I want them out now. If I could do one thing, it would be to have a lift.

“I think you’re supposed to replace implants every 10 years. But when you have kids, you think about the risks of surgery and I think, This is not the way I want to die, in boob surgery.”

In 2017, Teigen had opened up about her body image and some beauty procedures she underwent, revealing that she once had her armpit fat sucked out to look good in dresses.

“I had an armpit sucked out. It’s a big secret, but I don’t care. It was nine years ago or so. Now it’s back though, so now I’ve gotta pay for [liposuction] again,” she had said.

“It was so easy. It made me feel better in dresses; I felt more confident. It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I’ve ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets.”

Universal cancer cure discovered – Scientists

Scientists have discovered a new “killer immune cell” that could be used as a “universal” cancer cure.

Researchers at Cardiff University discovered a “T-cell” found in human blood that recognises and kills many types of cancer while ignoring healthy cells. The researchers suggest the cell could be used to develop a “one-size-fits-all” cancer treatment.

T-cell therapies for cancer – where immune cells are removed, modified and returned to the patient’s blood to seek and destroy cancer cells – are the latest paradigm in cancer treatments. The most widely used is known as CAR-T and is personalised to each patient. However, it only targets a limited number of cancers and has not been successful for solid tumours, which make up the majority of cancers.

But scientists have now discovered T-cells equipped with a new type of T-cell receptor (TCR) which can distinguish between healthy and diseased cells – only killing only the cancerous ones, Metri UK reports.

Professor Andrew Sewell, lead author on the study from Cardiff University’s School of Medicine, said it was “highly unusual” to find a TCR with such broad cancer specificity and this raised the prospect of universal cancer therapy.

He added: “We hope this new TCR may provide us with a different route to target and destroy a wide range of cancers in all individuals.

“Current TCR-based therapies can only be used in a minority of patients with a minority of cancers.

“Cancer-targeting via MR1-restricted T-cells is an exciting new frontier – it raises the prospect of a ‘one-size-fits-all’ cancer treatment; a single type of T-cell that could be capable of destroying many different types of cancers across the population.

“Previously nobody believed this could be possible.”

Conventional T-cells scan the surface of other cells to find anomalies and eliminate cancerous cells, but ignore cells that contain only “normal” proteins. The scanning recognises small parts of cellular proteins that are bound to cell-surface molecules called human leukocyte antigen (HLA), allowing killer T-cells to see what is occurring inside cells by scanning their surface. But the study, published in Nature Immunology, describes a unique TCR that can recognise many types of cancer via a single HLA-like molecule called MR1. Unlike HLA, MR1 is does not vary in the human population – meaning it is a hugely attractive new target for immunotherapies.

In the lab, T-cells equipped with the new TCR were shown to kill lung, skin, blood, colon, breast, bone, prostate, ovarian, kidney and cervical cancer cells, while ignoring healthy cells.

To test the therapeutic potential of these cells in vivo, the researchers injected T-cells able to recognise MR1 into mice bearing human cancer and with a human immune system.

Scientists say this showed encouraging cancer-clearing, comparable to the now NHS-approved CAR-T therapy in a similar animal model.

They were also able to demonstrate that T-cells of melanoma patients modified to express this new TCR could destroy not only the patient’s own cancer cells, but also other patients’ cancer cells in the laboratory, regardless of the patient’s HLA type.

The researchers are now experimenting to determine the precise molecular mechanism by which the new TCR distinguishes between healthy cells and cancer. They hope to trial the new approach in patients towards the end of the year.
