All is fair in ‘The Battle for Serie A title’ as Ciro Immobile slaps Arturo Vidal in Team clash

Lazio’s hopes of a comeback were dented in the 69th minute as Immobile, who managed just one shot from 26 touches in a frustrating individual display, saw red for slapping Arturo Vidal.

Inter almost snatched the points in the closing stages when Marcelo Brozovic struck the woodwork, before Nerazzurri substitute Sensi received his marching orders for hitting Patric

Inter wants Vidal on a ‘No Money’ transfer

Inter are targeting the capture of Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal on a free transfer.

The Catalans are desperate to raise money after being hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

Although Barcelona are holding out for a fee close to 15 million euros, La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Inter believe they can agree a deal for free.

Ronald Koeman informed Vidal that he didn’t consider him part of his plans for next season, and the 33-year-old is now keen to join Antonio Conte’s burgeoning project.

Inter aren’t the only club interested in Vidal but they have been tracking him the longest, and Conte is understood to see him as a key part of his group for next season.

Vidal is unlikely to be the only player leaving the Camp Nou in the coming weeks, as the Blaugrana continue their summer clear-out.

‘This James-Zidane fight of a thing annoys me’ – Arturo Vidal

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has spoken out about the struggles of his close friend and former team-mate James Rodriguez.

The Colombian has barely featured for Real Madrid in 2019/20 since returning from a loan spell at Bayern Munich and Vidal offered some insight into the situation.

“James and I are brothers, we forged an incredible friendship in Munich,” the Barcelona man told NobleSports.

“We talk all the time, on holiday we did and it’s annoying that he has problems with the coach.

“James has a high level to play as a starter for that team and I don’t know why they didn’t give him a chance this year.”

The Chilean pointed to a summer move as the best possible solution for the former Monaco man.

“I hope he takes the best decision and begins to play,” he added.

“I think people, football admirers, love to see quality players and James is one of them.

“He has to grow, search for his future and find a place to play and enjoy football.”

James has played just 14 games, amassing 728 minutes, before being left out entirely of the last five matchday squads after asking Zidane not to include him if he wouldn’t consider him for selection.

Arturo Vidal’s 8-year streak comes to an end

Arturo Vidal is experiencing something he’s not used to this summer, ending a domestic campaign without be crowned champion for the first time in nine years.

The Chilean had won every league title since first ruling Serie A with Juventus in 2011/12 until Barcelona fell short of Real Madrid in 2019/20.

Four of those titles came in Italy after his 10.5 million euro move from Bayer Leverkusen.

After Italy he set off to return to Germany with Bayern Munich, where he won three straight Bundesliga titles until leaving in 2018 for Catalonia.

His first season in Spain ended with the LaLiga Santander title and his eighth in succession, but that’s where the steak came to a stop.

Real Madrid beat Vidal and Barcelona to the crown this season, getting their hands on their first since 2017 and 34th in total.

Vidal Opens To Any offer To Leave Barca

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is reportedly open to an exit from the Nou Camp this summer but has received no formal offers yet.

The 32-year-old has struggled to make Quique Setien’s starting team for the majority of Barcelona’s 2019-2020 campaign but has nonetheless clocked up 31 appearances across all competitions, scoring a total of six goals.

Vidal’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, is said to be facilitating a move as the Chile international will not be short of offers should he seek more first-team football, with Inter Milan strongly linked.

Vidal’s current deal is set to expire next summer, and Barcelona are looking to offload several players to raise funds for Inter forward Lautaro Martinez, according to Marca.

Having scored nine goals from 85 appearances since arriving from Bayern Munich in 2018, Vidal is worth between €15m (£13m) and €20m (£18m), according to El Mundo Deportivo.

With the arrival of Dutch international Frenkie De Jong last summer pushing Vidal down the pecking order, Barca are reportedly open to allowing him to leave this summer, with Inter looking the likely destination.

The San Siro giants are believed to have been keen to recruit Vidal on multiple occasions and were also unsuccessful in an attempted swoop last summer.

Discussions may be relatively simple with Inter having also signed Alexis Sanchez, another of Felicevich’s clients, on loan from Manchester United.

Arturo Vidal is on Barcelona’s exit ramp. All sides are conscious of the situation and are looking for the best solution.

Right now, that’s a move to Inter Milan – although they clubs have not agreed on a fee. The Chilean could have left in the January transfer window, but the Blaugrana blocked his exit because the team had a lot of players out. It was a move the player accepted. He’s got a year left on his contract but will be sold as he looks for a final top project in which he can have a bigger role.

Inter have maintained their interest for months and have returned for him again, with coach Antonio Conte pushing for the operation to take place. They worked together at Juventus before and speak regularly. Barcelona will not renew his contract, which is high, and think the player is amortized. He’s liked in the dressing room and is a good reference point on and off the pitch.

Inter are willing to offer Vidal a three-season deal on a good wage but need to lower the transfer price. They don’t believe the 20m euros Barcelona are asking for is fair. For his age and the fact there’s only a year left on his deal. They also don’t want him to be involved in any deal for Lautaro Martinez, the Inter striker Barca crave. His release clause is 111 million euros and Inter don’t want to lower that. Negotiations are open and there is a good feeling between both sides, so there is hope of a deal.

Inter keen on signing Arturo Vidal.

The details of Inter’s verbal agreement with Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal have been revealed, but the Serie A side are still struggling to convince La Blaugrana to actually accept the deal.

Inter have already convinced Vidal to make the move, but Barcelona have not been easy to deal with. Many at the club want to sell him, but manager Ernesto Valverde is desperate to keep him around.

Arturo Vidal

According to Nicolò Schira, Antonio Conte’s side have offered to pay Vidal €4.5m for the remainder of this season if he joins in January, and then €6m per year for the next two seasons on a contract until 2022.

The Chilean is happy with that and has already accepted their proposal, especially given his limited game time at Camp Nou, but it now comes down to whether Inter can agree terms with Barcelona.

At the minute, Inter have offered to take Vidal on a six-month loan with an obligation to sign Vidal permanently in the summer for €12m, but Barcelona are holding out for closer to €20m and want to part ways with him on a permanent basis.

Antonio Conte

The two sides are not too far apart, but whether Inter will agree to increase their offer remains to be seen.

However, Barcelona fear that Vidal is trying to force them to accept a lower bid. He recently decided to sue Barça for unpaid bonuses from last season, but Barcelona have questioned why he decided to wait until now – days before the January transfer window – to voice his concerns.

Arturo Vidal

They believe that he has only done so to try and pressure the club into letting him go, and it certainly seems unlikely that they will back down.

Vidal has made 19 appearances for Barcelona this season, but his desire to leave stems from the fact that he has started just six games. Valverde has usually preferred other players, whereas Conte would be prepared to offer Vidal a more prominent role in his side

£2m debt: Arturo Vidal of Barcelona Sues club.

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has sued his own club over claims they owe him £2million in bonuses from last season.

The Chilean midfielder believes he is owed extras from the team’s qualification to the knockout and quarter-finals of the Champions League, and says he should have received payments after Barcelona won the title.

In a report by Spanish outlet ABC, the player’s lawyers filed a lawsuit against his employers on December 5, outlining a list of bonuses that Vidal was supposedly entitled to.

Vidal was set to receive an extra £2m in bonuses if he featured in 60 percent of games last season, and he played 53 matches in all competitions. But the club claim he does not qualify because he did not play a minimum of 45 minutes per game, saying the lawyers have misinterpreted his contract.

He has allegedly been paid £1.4m, but says he is owed a total of £3.5m with Marca claiming in their report that the lawsuit could be a ploy by Vidal and his lawyers to secure a move for him away from Barcelona.

Arturo Vidal, who is being linked with a move to Inter Milan has made just six starts for the club this season.
