Aisha Buhari returns from UAE – request better Hospitals in Nigeria.

Advertisements

Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, on Saturday announced her return from medical treatment in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while calling for healthcare providers to improve the capacity of the country’s health sector and reduce foreign medical trips.

In a statement signed by her and obtained by Noble Reporters Media, the First Lady said healthcare providers should take advantage of the Federal Government’s N100bn credit support for the health sector in order to ramp up capacity.

Recall, Noble Reporters Media had earlier reported Mrs. Buhari’s exit from the country on August 8, although her office did not confirm the news at the time.

In her Saturday statement, Mrs Buhari thanked Nigerians for their prayers and well-wishes and also extended gratitude to the men and women of the Nigerian Airforce who facilitated her journey back to Nigeria.

READ MRS BUHARI’S FULL STATEMENT:

I want to use this opportunity to thank all Nigerians for their prayers and well wishes while I was away for medical treatment in the United Arabs Emirates (UAE). I am well now and fully recovered and had since returned back home, Nigeria.

On our way back, the Nigerian Airforce Flight encountered a violent clear air turbulence which was navigated safely and professionally by the Captain and crew of the Flight.

I want to commend and appreciate the courage and professionalism of the Captain and his crew, the wonderful gallant service men and women of the entire Nigerian Airforce for their dedication to duty and the quality of maintainance of its Fleet.

I recall hosting the private healthcare Providers earlier in the year and we had a very productive engagement where the issue of building the capacity of Nigeria health sector was the major focus, and funding was discovered to be the major challenge.

I therefore call on the healthcare providers to take the advantage of the Federal Government’s initiative through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines for the operation of NGN100 Billion Credit Support for the Healthcare Sector as was released recently contained in a circular dated March 25, 2020 to the Commercial Banks. This will no doubt help in building and expanding the capacity of the Nigerian health sector and ultimately reduce medical trips and tourism outside the Country.

Once again, I thank our frontline workers, and all Nigerians for their steadfast as we navigate the challenges facing the entire world.

IGP in trouble! – Aisha Buhari fumes

Advertisements

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ignored the call by the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari.

Aisha stated that her security aides remained in detention despite her plea for their release – and they were not replaced.

According to a reliable source verified by NobleReporters, she added: “You don’t play with the protection of the First Family.”

Aisha Buhari made the demand for the release of her aides in Police custody following the trouble that ensued between her and Private Secretary to the President, Yusuf Sabiu, aka Tunde, who is also a nephew to the President.

Advertisements

The trouble started on Thursday night when the First Lady’s Aide-de-camp, Usman Shugaba, attempted to force Sabiu into self -isolation over COVID-19 fears.

However, Sabiu, who had reportedly return from Lagos that night, insisted that he will not leave his residence at the precincts of the Presidential Villa despite the intervention of Aisha Buhari and her children.

Advertisements

N.Rs later learnt that the incident led to shooting in the presidential villa and Sabiu, the powerful aide, secured the arrest of Aisha Buhari’s aides who attacked him.

However, a family member on Sunday said as of 4 pm on Saturday, the aides were still in police custody.

Advertisements

He said, ‘’Tunde met the NNPC GMD, Maikanti Baru, who recently died of COVID-19. He also visited several other places. Instead of going on self-isolation, he decided to return to the Villa and he is one of the few aides that has direct access to the President.

“The President is almost 80 and he is very vulnerable given his medical history. We advised Tunde not to see the President but he refused and forced his way into the Villa. He was able to get the First Lady’s aides arrested because of the influence he wields.

Advertisements

“We have a rule in the Villa that those who have direct access to the President should reduce their engagement with people. Even the new Chief of Staff, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, has been adhering to the rule but Tunde seems to be a law unto himself.”

When asked whether the First Lady’s aides had been released, the President’s relative said, “As I speak to you, they have remained in custody, exposing them to possible infection of COVID-19.”

Advertisements

Meanwhile, NRM learnt that a battle line has been drawn as the President’s wife and children declared war on Sabiu, who some claimed was beginning to wield as much influence as the President’s late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.

Sabiu, who was nicknamed ‘Tunde’ after Buhari’s late ally, Gen. Tunde Idiagbon, is the son of Mamman Daura’s sister.

Aisha had, on Friday, called on the IG to immediately release her aides.

She said: “Finally, I call on the IGP to release my assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to COVID-19 while in their custody.”

In series of tweets released at 7.11pm on Friday, Mrs Buhari asked the Inspector General of Police not to endanger the lives of her aides by exposing them to COVID-19 in detention.

Just in: Aisha Buhari Chase Garba Shehu Out Of Aso Rock – Kanu Allege. [Nigeria]

Advertisements

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has claimed that First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has chased Garba Shehu, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity out of Aso Rock.

In a similar claim, Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan had said Garba Shehu was not briefed about the appointment of a new Chief of Staff because he is now perceived as the head of the late Kyari’s ‘Cabal’ and has now become an enemy to Buhari’s wife, Aisha.

Recall that when Media contacted Shehu to confirm the appointment of Ibrahim Gambari, on Tuesday, he said he had not been briefed about the appointment.

Aisha Buhari had late last year claimed that Garba Shehu was no longer loyal to her husband, adding that the presidential aide had shifted his loyalty to a close relative of Buhari, Mamman Daura, who she accused of issuing a presidential directive behind the President.

Aisha had alleged that Daura was issuing directives to Garba Shehu, not to recognize her office.

Amid reports that President Muhammadu Buhari will announce his new Chief of Staff later today(Wednesday), Kanu said that Aisha has already chased Shehu out of the Presidential Villa and this now compels him to wear visitor’s tag.

“Now she is the Boss! Garba Shehu chased out of The Villa and made to wear visitor’s tag when visiting,” Kanu said on Facebook.
