Here is Reno Omokri’s reaction to celebrities commenting on Tacha’s disqualification.
Many Nigerians have continued to make diverse comments over the sudden disqualification of Tacha, one of the more prominent faces in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show.
She was disqualified for being physically violent towards a fellow housemate, Mercy. Tacha had been engaged in a shouting match with Mercy, which turned physical after Tacha grabbed Mercy’s hair and she, in turn, tried to defend herself with an electric iron.
A social media user, @kanoel_fabrics, wrote, “She can now go and ‘pin’ in her father’s bedroom. Nonsense.” Another user, @hair_by_movika_empire, wrote, “‘No leave, no transfer’ has officially been transferred to the permanent site. What a wow!!!” Yet another person, @donpositive wrote, “At least, the Housemates can now breathe fresh air, no odour.”
@Cruncherjokes wrote, “This is s****y, she has done nothing wrong. They both abused each other. Rubbish.” @arin_candie wrote, “Pride goes before a fall.”
@toffyllicious wrote, “I’m so happy right now. Let people know that we are aspiring to build a better society, not a toxic one.” @naijabeautyshop wrote, “This is loud, pride is not confidence. Let’s all learn how to control our mouths, it could be any body. This is an example to learn from.” @president_okiki wrote, “Mr P and Naira Marley are going to endorse her now.” @olive.ive wrote, “This girl obviously has some emotional issues. Hopefully, she will see a psychologist.” @shattynattfoods added, “She needed to go! I’m throwing a party for her disqualification, drink on me fam!!! No more toxic behaviour.”
@simplezinny_collections stated, “It is well. It is not the end of life. Go and do exploits.” @sarima_ wrote, “She used her hand to spoil her game! Hopefully, she learns from this!!” @oyizmarie wrote, “I saw it coming. Both of them should be disqualified.” @cheeamaka_xx wrote, “This is so heartbreaking. I love you regardless. Stay strong.” @b3rants_ added, “We love you babe.”
According to the official website of the show, Tacha was accused of losing her temper, leading to her pushing, shoving and pulling Mercy’s hair, which was considered violence.
Big Brother found her guilty of breaking the House rule of physical violence and intent to harm the moment she shoved Mercy, and the moment she pulled her hair on two separate occasions. Biggie deemed that such physical violence had no place in Big Brother’s house’.
Meanwhile, there are just 10 days left in the show.
The Kano State Government, on Friday, denied allegations that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is planning to dethrone the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II.
Earlier, a Kano group, Renaissance Coalition, in a press statement, signed by its spokesman, Ibrahim A. Waiya, which was made available to The Nation, alleged that plans were under way by the Kano State Government to transfer the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II to Bichi Emirate.
According to the statement, if the monarch resists the move, he would be dethroned.
However, the statement cautioned Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje against, the plot, which is capable of destabilizing the peace and stability being enjoyed in the state.
The group, in the statement, threatened that if the governor goes ahead, with its plan, it would have no option than to compel the Federal Government to declare a state of Emergency in Kano.
When contacted, Governor Abdullahu Umar Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Auwal, dismissed as false, allegations that the State Government was planning to depose the Emir, insisting that there was no such plan.
No fewer than 40 Special Advisers, including four women, were on Friday sworn in by Sokoto Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
He called on them to brace up by giving useful and human- oriented advice for the development of the state.
The governor urged the appointees to consider their appointments as a call for serve humanity with commitment.
Tambuwal spoke while administering the oath of office on the newly appointed advisers at the International Conference Centre, Sokoto.
According to him: ” We all owe the state a duty to advance it’s course to prosperity.
” Therefore, we have to join hands to make our state a shining example.
“This government will continue to ensure the spread of development and well being of all and sundry through responsive service delivery across the state.”
Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has signed a new contract with the club until 2023.
The Frenchman arrived in north London in the summer of 2016 and has developed into a key player under Mauricio Pochettino.
The 30-year-old played a decisive role in Spurs reaching the Champions League final last season and insists he is ready to take the next step and deliver silverware.
“I’m very proud. At the beginning it was tough, but I never gave up and today everything has changed.”
Sissoko has played 132 times for Spurs in all and has started all six of their Premier League matches so far this season.
Sissoko said: ‘I’m very proud to sign a new deal with the club – that means the club believes in me and they’re happy with what I’m doing, so hopefully I can give my best to the club for a long time and hopefully we can get some trophies all together.’
The midfielder says he feels like a leader in Pochettino’s team as he embarks on his fourth season with the north London club.
He said: ‘I try to be [a leader]. I have a lot of experience, I’m now 30 years old.
‘If I can help new signings and even some players who have been at the club a long time, I’m trying to do it.
‘It will be helpful for everyone. If I can give them some advice it will be no problem with me. I was young as well so I had advice from other players.
‘It is always important to have something from the experienced players, so that is what I’m trying to do.’

We collect anonymous statistics about your visit, like which of our pages you viewed. Some 3rd parties like Facebook and Twitter may know you visited this website, if you use their services. We can’t control them but we don’t believe this knowledge poses any threat to you. If you sign up with us we take great care to keep your information safe and we’ll never share it with others without your express permission. We never share your data with 3rd parties except to help us deliver our own services.
These are just the key points.

Measuring our visitors
We measure visitors to our website using Google Analytics. This records what pages you view within our site, how you arrived at our site and some basic information about your computer. All of that information is anonymous – so we don’t know who you are; just that somebody visited our site.
The information we collect from analytics helps us understand what parts of our sites are doing well, how people arrive at our site and so on. Like most websites, we use this information to make our website better.
We also use Google Analytics with data collection for advertising features enabled.
If you feel uncomfortable about Google Analytics tracking your activity, you can opt out.
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks
These services provide social buttons and similar features which we use on our website – such as the Tweet buttons.
To do so we embed code that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function their buttons generally know if you’re logged in; for example Facebook use this to say “x of your friends like this”. We do not have any access to that information, nor can we control how those networks use it.
Social networks therefore could know that you’re viewing this website, if you use their services (that isn’t to say they do, but their policies may change). As our website is remarkably inoffensive we imagine this is not a concern for most users.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time-to-time, particularly as technology changes. You can always check this page for the latest version.
