BBNaija: To be fair, after the clash experienced, tasha is guilty and deserves the punishment – Isiloma.

Isilomo joined the social media conversation on the clash witnessed in the Big Brother Naija house this morning by saying that Tacha should leave the reality show for putting her hands on Mercy.

She stated that Mercy flipping her hair is not an excuse to act like a barbarian. Admitting that she always made excuses for Tacha before now, the reality show star who was one of the first housemates to be evicted commended Mercy for her self control.

17 suspected jihadist gunned down by US Army. (Details)

The US military command for Africa announced Friday it killed 17 suspected Islamic State group jihadists in southern Libya, in the third such strike in a week.

“At this time, it is assessed the airstrike killed 17 terrorists” on Thursday, Africom said in a statement.

It said its anti-IS campaign in Libya was “ongoing” and that strikes were being conducted “in coordination” with the UN-recognised Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli.

Africom “continues to support diplomatic efforts to stabilise the political situation in Libya in order to maintain our common focus on disrupting terrorist organisations that threaten regional stability”, the statement said.

The previous two air strikes were carried out on September 19 and 24 near Murzuq, an oasis town some 1,000 kilometres (600 miles) south of Tripoli, killing eight and 11 IS “terrorists” respectively, according to Africom.

Libya’s desert south lies outside the control of the GNA and of rival forces loyal to eastern strongman Khalifa Haftar, even though the latter allege to have a presence there.

Since the start of an anti-GNA offensive launched by Haftar on April 4 to take Tripoli, analysts have warned of a security vacuum that could benefit IS in other parts of the country.

Sen. Chris Ngige: 30,000 minimum wages update, FG to commence negotiations (Details).

The Federal Government is set to reconstitute a new committee to begin fresh negotiations for the full implementation of the new national minimum wage of N30,000.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

“The President has put in place a new committee or council called ‘Presidential Committee On Salaries and Allowances,” he said.

Senator Ngige made the revelation when the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) paid him a courtesy visit at his office in the nation’s capital.

He, however, warned that the delay in agreement for the full implementation of the new minimum wage may put the Federal and State governments in a difficult position to pay because of the backlog that would arise.

The minister explained that it was important for workers earning above N30,000 and on grade level seven to 17 to be patient.

He gave assurance that the consequential adjustment of the minimum wage implementation was being sorted out.

Senator Ngige added, “It is important that we advise them (the stakeholders), because we are not yet back on that negotiation, that if they keep on piling debts, the Federal Government might run into problem of payment.

“The state governments that have not been regular with payments will have problems.”

He, therefore, promised to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari over the stalemated negotiation on the new wage.

The minister informed the labour leaders that the Federal Government was committed to the full implementation of the minimum wage.

Also present at the meeting were the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, and the NLC President, Mr Ayuba Wabba, among others.

BBNaija: Tasha eliminated, see fans reactions.

Many Nigerians have continued to make diverse comments over the sudden disqualification of Tacha, one of the more prominent faces in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show.

She was disqualified for being physically violent towards a fellow housemate, Mercy. Tacha  had been engaged in a shouting match with Mercy,  which turned physical after Tacha grabbed Mercy’s hair and she, in turn, tried to defend herself with an electric iron.

A social media user, @kanoel_fabrics, wrote, “She can now go and ‘pin’ in her father’s bedroom. Nonsense.” Another user, @hair_by_movika_empire, wrote, “‘No leave, no transfer’ has officially been transferred to the permanent site. What a wow!!!” Yet another person, @donpositive wrote, “At least, the Housemates can now breathe fresh air, no odour.”

@Cruncherjokes wrote, “This is s****y, she has done nothing wrong. They both abused each other. Rubbish.” @arin_candie wrote, “Pride goes before a fall.”

@toffyllicious wrote, “I’m so happy right now. Let people know that we are aspiring to build a better society, not a toxic one.” @naijabeautyshop wrote, “This is loud, pride is not confidence. Let’s all learn how to control our mouths, it could be any body. This is an example to learn from.” @president_okiki wrote, “Mr P and Naira Marley are going to endorse her now.” @olive.ive wrote, “This girl obviously has some emotional issues. Hopefully, she will see a psychologist.” @shattynattfoods added, “She needed to go! I’m throwing a party for her disqualification, drink on me fam!!! No more toxic behaviour.”

@simplezinny_collections stated, “It is well. It is not the end of life. Go and do exploits.” @sarima_ wrote, “She used her hand to spoil her game! Hopefully, she learns from this!!” @oyizmarie wrote, “I saw it coming. Both of them should be disqualified.” @cheeamaka_xx wrote, “This is so heartbreaking. I love you regardless. Stay strong.” @b3rants_ added, “We love you babe.”

According to the official website of the show, Tacha was accused of losing her temper, leading to her pushing, shoving and pulling Mercy’s hair, which was considered violence.

Big Brother found her guilty of breaking the House rule of physical violence and intent to harm the moment she shoved Mercy, and the moment she pulled her hair on two separate occasions. Biggie deemed that such physical violence had no place in Big Brother’s house’.

Meanwhile, there are just 10 days left in the show.

Sissoko to remain in spurs, signs new deal till 2023.

Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has signed a new contract with the club until 2023.

The Frenchman arrived in north London in the summer of 2016 and has developed into a key player under Mauricio Pochettino.

The 30-year-old played a decisive role in Spurs reaching the Champions League final last season and insists he is ready to take the next step and deliver silverware.

“I’m very proud. At the beginning it was tough, but I never gave up and today everything has changed.”

Sissoko has played 132 times for Spurs in all and has started all six of their Premier League matches so far this season.

Sissoko said: ‘I’m very proud to sign a new deal with the club – that means the club believes in me and they’re happy with what I’m doing, so hopefully I can give my best to the club for a long time and hopefully we can get some trophies all together.’

Sissoko eyeing silverware with Spurs

The midfielder says he feels like a leader in Pochettino’s team as he embarks on his fourth season with the north London club.

He said: ‘I try to be [a leader]. I have a lot of experience, I’m now 30 years old.

‘If I can help new signings and even some players who have been at the club a long time, I’m trying to do it.

‘It will be helpful for everyone. If I can give them some advice it will be no problem with me. I was young as well so I had advice from other players.

‘It is always important to have something from the experienced players, so that is what I’m trying to do.’

We can’t control them but we don’t believe this knowledge poses any threat to you. If you sign up with us we take great care to keep your information safe and we’ll never share it with others without your express permission. Measuring our visitors

We measure visitors to our website using Google Analytics. This records what pages you view within our site, how you arrived at our site and some basic information about your computer. All of that information is anonymous – so we don’t know who you are; just that somebody visited our site.

The information we collect from analytics helps us understand what parts of our sites are doing well, how people arrive at our site and so on. Like most websites, we use this information to make our website better.

We also use Google Analytics with data collection for advertising features enabled.

This includes:

  • re-marketing features,
  • advertising reporting features.
We use first party cookies to collect some general information about you when you visit certain pages on this site. This information may be later used for advertising our products using services such as Google Adwords or Facebook Ads.

If you feel uncomfortable about Google Analytics tracking your activity, you can opt out.

Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks

These services provide social buttons and similar features which we use on our website – such as the Tweet buttons.

To do so we embed code that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function their buttons generally know if you’re logged in; for example Facebook use this to say “x of your friends like this”. We do not have any access to that information, nor can we control how those networks use it.

Social networks therefore could know that you’re viewing this website, if you use their services (that isn’t to say they do, but their policies may change). As our website is remarkably inoffensive we imagine this is not a concern for most users.
