Manchester City manager ahead of their clash with Tottenham Hotspur has come out to say that he is too old to engage himself in a verbal fight with Mourinho.
Mourinho, in a press conference said that Man city’s star player Raheem Sterling who was reported injured before the international break will be fit to play against his team despite withdrawing from England team that played in the Uefa Nations league.
Jose went on to say that Manchester city as a club mounted pressure on England national team coach Gareth Southgate into omitting Sterling’s name in his English squad list and also called out Pep Guardiola to come out open and deny or accept the accusation.
Pep, was asked to talk on the Mourinho accusation by the press guy’s and he said, “You have to speak to the doctors about these other things, don’t ask me,”
“I’m almost 50. I’m old enough to understand. Listen, I’m not going to answer anything about Jose.
“Raheem today Friday was the first training that he did.
“Mourinho has to speak to the doctor for the national team of England and the doctor for Manchester City.
“Maybe Mourinho is a doctor, I don’t know.
“He accused us of something we have done that is not true.”
Guardiola immediately switched attention to the contract he signed on Thursday, when he was asked his reason for extending his contract, he said “I don’t know, when I arrive here I didn’t expect to be seven years,” he added.
“I don’t know what is going to happen. It depends on the results to be honest. If we have success and we are happy, why not?
“If we don’t have success, we will be less happy and I think we are going to change. It’s simple.
He also said that he is happy at city and is looking forward to achieving more great things with the club.
