Miralem Pjanic brought his stay in Serie A to a close after Juventus’ Champions League elimination at the hands of Lyon on Friday, and he has said an emotional farewell to fans of the Bianconeri.
Pjanic has agreed to sign for Barcelona from the 2020/21 season in a move which brings further experience to Los Cules’ midfield ranks, although it can hardly be considered a long-term solution given the playmaker’s age.
“I defied the past to hold onto the present, at least for a while longer,” Pjanic posted on Instagram.
“Today our paths separate, but I walked every inch to get here knowing I would be part of something great
“This is a place that will remain in my heart and you will stay with me, wherever my new path takes me.
“Good luck, Juventus.”
Over the course of his four seasons in Turin after leaving Roma, Pjanic has won four Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and one Supercoppa Italiana.
The 30-year-old also played in the 2017 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
